what the heck is a short sale?
 
what is a short sale anyway?  well, it used to be an investment stategy employed by hedge fund managers, but they're all gone now.  following are links to the web sites of some companies that act as facilitators for real estate short sales.  these web sites provide a brief primer on real estate short sales.
