i was on a trip recently to the heartland of the usa and took the opportunity to use public transportation as often as possible in hope of getting a feel of the pulse of the heartbeat of the heartland.  as always, i learned a couple of things:  1) people are universally apprehensive, nay frightened, circumspect, and feeling helpless regarding the economy and the future, and 2) i'm now officially of another generation and like i'm like curious as to like how like a sentence like this should like be like punctuated.  and is there some grammatical rule that dictates like where like each like like is properly inserted?
