the end of excess: is this crisis good for america?
 
following is a copy of a link to an excellent article by kurt andersen appearing in the march 26, 2009 on-line edition of time on the subjects of excess and the current economic crisis.
 
 
implications for residential real estate?...perhaps a cultural shift reinstating the shelter element to the forefront of housing, mitigating the speculative investment and the ego elements, and renewing the emphasis on quality and sustainability over quantity and excess?  who knows?
