I have been working in the individual tax industry for 7 years and by far the coming changes not only to the tax code but to what the IRS is charged with administering is is certainly going to be interesting to see. I am fairly familiar with MA state taxes, where they already have had a "mandated" health insurance policy, and I know that the complexity of these additional forms have send a significant number if traditional home filers seeking out the services of paid professionals. I think a lot of these changes are not only going to hit the average taxpayer in the form of having additional tax liability, but will also hit them with the price of having an outside preparer complete their returns. I am definitely looking forward to seeing how the IRS tends to manage reporting and policing individual health care considering that MA, from my experience, has failed so far in the quest.
